ZEM is the artistic duo Kristyna Balaban & Adam Široký, who specialize in immersive audio-visual installations and performances. They have been collaborating creatively together both in the Czech Republic and Canada for over 10 years. Their work has been exhibited at many international festivals including the Light.Move.Festival 2025 in Lodz, Poland, Winter Wonders Festival at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton 2024 & 2025, Toronto’s Lumière festival 2024, Lumen festival in Waterloo 2024, Vancouver Lumière festival 2024, New Liben Synagogue in Prague, DEPO2015 cultural space in Plzen, and many others. They focus on creating site-specific interactive and collective experiences that connect human and natural elements, inviting diverse audiences to engage with their art. Coming from an underground scene of electronic music festivals and alternative spaces, they strive to create a playful environment, inviting people from all walks of life to interact with their work. They are also members of the audio-visual collective FotonX based in Prague, Czech Republic.
